Are you considering facial rejuvenation but not ready to commit to a facelift? If this sounds like you, skin needling treatment can be the answer for you. At Drayton Cosmetics & Body Sculpting, our mission is to help clients obtain their ideal aesthetic without pain or significant downtime. Here we answer some of the most asked questions about the treatment.

What is Skin Needling or Micro-Needling?

Micro-needling is a skin needling treatment, or collagen induction therapy is a non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment designed to promote your body’s natural collagen production & cellular turnover through wound healing processes. An FDA-approved handheld device is rolled over the concerned site in a smooth circular motion during this facial rejuvenation treatment.

The device features several tiny needles that puncture the skin quickly. This forms microscopic channels in your skin. While the process may seem frightening, the needles are so fine that you will not feel any pain. In case you have an aversion to needles, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to the treatment site, so you do not feel anything.

How Long does Micro-Needling Take?

The entire treatment takes roughly half an hour. However, the duration of the treatment will vary from person to person. For example, if you are treating a smaller area such as your hands, treatment will not take long to complete.

On the contrary, your buttocks, chest, back or legs will need several rounds of treatment. Unfortunately, that means your session will take significantly longer. During your initial consultation, your specialist will assess the current health of your skin and aesthetic goals to provide you with a better idea of how long you can expect your treatment to take.

When will You see the Results of Treatment?

You will see the initial results immediately after treatment. As soon as the needles penetrate the deepest layers of your skin, micro-wounds begin to form. This triggers your body’s wound healing processes to heal your micro-wounds immediately. However, the most relevant results will not be visible until five to six weeks after treatment. It will take approximately this long for your body to create new collagen.

During the initial consultation, our specialists will advise you regarding when you can expect to see results based on the results you try to achieve. For instance, you may need to wait between six months and a year to achieve your desired results for treating burn scars. For cellular turnover & tissue rejuvenation, you can see results in as little as two weeks.

How Much will it Cost?

The cost of your skin-needling treatment depends on various factors, including the size of the area or areas being treated, the number of areas being treated and if there are any add-ons associated with your treatment.

At Drayton Cosmetics & Body Sculpting, we advise you on the best courses to successfully perform the skin-needling treatment. Contact us for more information.
